Carole McNally

Carole McNally was one of the founding memers of Team Oarsome. A indoor rowing of fantastic determination and success, winning many medals and breaking records too! The photo below left shows Carole after completing a staggering 7hrs 55mins and 59 secs of rowing to set a new British women's 40-49 100k record in 2005.

However Carole's contribution to the world of indoor rowing went far further than that - her passion for life and magnetic personality made her one of the most regonisable and popular characters in indoor rowing, taking part at dozens of local, national and international events and being a regular contributor to the Concept2 Indoor Rowing Forum where she was a great friend to many.

Carole was also at the centre of many charity fundraising events making headlines in both local and national papers. In December 2006, Carole was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, Carole passed away on February 14th 2007.

She will always be remembered very fondly by her Team Oarsome team mates as well as by the indoor rowing community at large and indeed anyone who was lucky enough to have ever met her.
